Myung Deuk and Dong Hyeok are detectives who investigate crimes as their main job and collect bribes as their side job. They happen to obtain information about money belonging to a crime group. To change their lives, they make a plan to steal money that can’t be reported or traced. They set up a near-perfect plan, but an unexpected situation unfolds before them.

A detective who is conducting an undercover investigation at the scene dies. The case now turns into a murder case, and Myung Deuk and Dong Hyeok are the ones investigating the detective’s death. They try to cover up the crime, but evidence from the crime scene points to them.

The Songwon Police Department’s 2nd Violent Crimes Unit, which has the lowest arrest rate, loses its team leader after a failed undercover investigation and moves its office to a closed daycare center. The new team leader, Dongbang Yubin, appears before the 2nd Violent Crimes Unit. At first, Yubin is suspicious, but as they solve cases together, they gradually build trust in each other and become a true team.

Dongbang Yu Bin is the tall, intelligent and athletic head of Songwon Police Station’s homicide squad. He was offered a permanent professorship at a famous overseas university, but he suddenly came to Korea and volunteered to become the head of the Songwon Police Station’s homicide squad Unit 2, which ranked last in the country in terms of arrest rate.

Three years ago, Wu Gang was killed by a drug trafficking organization led by the elusive "K". His son, Wu Zhen Feng in an attempt to seek vengeance, unintentionally blows an undercover police operation and causes his best friend Chen Yu to be demoted from the narcotics unit. Taking matters into his own hands, Wu Zhen Feng boards the bus to the border while Chen Yu chases after him relentlessly. Along the journey, the two are almost kidnapped. While separated, Wu Zhen Feng is saved and brought away by militant drug traffickers, and there has been no news of him ever since.

Three years later, Chen Yu has since rejoined the narcotics unit working on a case he believes to be linked to Wu Zhen Feng. When the two finally meet again, Wu Zhen Feng has become a murder suspect who goes by the nickname "Brother Feng".
