When Jung Won is accused of murder, she joins with detective Kim Tae Hyun and sets out to find the truth. Also helping her are her husband Seol Woo Jae and Woo Jae, respectively.

Oh Ha Ra is a hotshot divorce lawyer whose nickname in legal circles is “the “goddess of litigation.” One of the reasons she is such a dab hand at divorce proceedings, perhaps, is the fact that she has divorced her long-time lover and fellow lawyer Goo Eun Beom. But her relatively uneventful life is turned upside down when she is unexpectedly reunited with her ex-husband – in the law courts!

The duo is forced to work together – leading them to butt heads and reignite past grievances. While their professionalism prevents them from telling each other what they really think in public, tempers begin to fray…and risk boiling over. The tense atmosphere is not relieved in the slightest by fellow divorce lawyers Kang Bi Chwi and Kwon Si Wook, another pair of advocates who always seem to get under one another’s skin! In 1987, Im Soo Ho and Eun Young Ro are students at a prestigious university in Seoul. Im Soo Ho, who grew up in Germany, has a gentle charm but gives off an air of secrecy. Eun Young Ro, who is lively, lovable, and cheerful, fell in love with him at first sight at a social gathering. One day, Soo Ho suddenly rushes into a female dormitory covered in blood, and Eun Young Ro hides him and tends to his wounds despite facing danger under close surveillance.

Among those monitoring, Soo Ho and Young Ro must avoid Pi Seung Hee, the notoriously strict and imposing housemother of Young Ro’s dorm, and Kye Boon Ok, a phone operator at the dorm who had to forgo a college education due to her family’s financial circumstances.

Lee Kang Moo is the relentless head of Team 1 of the National Intelligence Service (NIS) and always insists on doing everything by the book. By contrast, NIS agent Jang Han Na is impulsive, hot-tempered, and passionate about her job.

Kang Chung Ya is a beautiful and talented surgeon at a state-run hospital who can charm anyone in a split second. Although her skills in the operating room have earned her a solid reputation as a dependable surgeon, Dr. Kang is mysterious and appears to be hiding something.

Neither the forensic skills nor the deductive or inductive reasoning skills fit the description of the detective in his 18th year, Gang Do Chang. However, his true qualities lies in being righteous and diligent. Returning from a 1-year leave of absence, Oh Ji Hyuk is a graduate of the Korean National Police University who can be a little unsympathetic, but he specializes in catching criminals based on his keen insight and attention to detail. The two with completely different characteristics are put into a team and become involved with a crime from five years ago that ended with the murderer Lee Dae Chul’s death sentence. Being the detective who undoubtedly arrested Dae Chul at the time, Do Chang finds himself in a tight spot when he comes across the evidence that proves Dae Chul’s innocence, following a recent murder case involving Dae Chul’s daughter, Lee Eun Hye. If the verdict is overruled, not only Do Chang but also all parties related to the ruling will be held responsible. Caught in the middle of those who seek power and those who seek the truth with evidence against him piling up, Do Chang tries to act upon his guiding principles to properly settle the lose-lose situation. It’s now up to The Good Detective to either save the innocent man from a wrongful execution or submit himself to a tempting corruption.
